State park that has not been developed. No signs, no development whatsoever. Road is narrow, winding and dirt, which works for me. However, there is a gate and no access to the park land for the public. Internet search indicates there is much to be done before the public can use this area. It should be beautiful if they are ever able to actually open it as a state park.
A beautiful slice of God's Country. If you are planning a trip to Shenandoah National Park and you don't include the land west of the Blue Ridge, you're missing the most beautiful place on earth.

This park is great! You can explore for miles and miles along trails paved with sugar candy. You can ride the funicular (cable car) down to the river or across to the Alleghenies or over into Fort Valley.There's a great ice cream and fro yo shop at the top and the camp restaurant is fresh, simple and local. Bring your own horses or ride the ones here. They come in all colors, including pink and purple for your girls. The jet skis available for rent are fast and very affordable. Boys who rent them must be over 4 years old and can't exceed 60 mph, though. They fly over rapids and dams and are a ton of fun for your 5 dollars per hour. Live the dream in Seven Bends!
